"handle it" as in not turned off by it :umad:

So, dating a lighter-skinned person means you're turned OFF by darker-skinned people? :patrice:

If one lighter-skinned person dates another, does that mean they're turned OFF by darker-skinned people?

If I date a darker-skinned girl, does that mean I'm turned off by lighter-skinned girls?

I'm confused. Help me understand how this logic works.

You didn't answer a single question, breh. I'm trying to learn.

That all being the case, wouldn't your situation make YOU the person placing value on white features in the scenario you described? :patrice:

If I recall, you said that you saw a lighter-skinned woman with a darker-skinned man and chuckled to yourself, "She can handle it (blackness) and he can't."

I'm just trying to understand. :lupegarvey:

I'm also trying to understand my own thinking (by your logic, of course)? Is it all or some and when is it which if you're judging without talking to people? How you know when it's a case of someone being on that ":mjpls:" or not? You didn't say that you spoke to the couple.

I date darker-skinned women and lighter-skinned women? By your logic, does that mean that I can't handle either? :lupegarvey:

Surely, he can't be. :lupegarvey:

You trolling, @cloudbox? :ohhh:

You wouldn't trivialize such an important culture discussion by being silly on a message board, right? Shame on you if you are. :francis:

get over it breh
you can try and turn this into some dead end debate, but my opinion is going to stay the same

when I see people put a high value on litebrites, it looks like they buy into the value that a white dominated society puts on diluted/non black features

No debate. So...

"Dating a person with a lighter complexion means you put more value into lighter skin."- @cloudbox

Got it. :ehh:

dating isn't putting placing an especially high value on them
idolizing them for their complexion is putting an especially high value on them
for example
starting a thread saying "god bless light skinned women"
