Roberson may shoot FTs worse than Wilt and Shaq combined but man, was he pivotal in masking and covering for such a large number of the (numerous) deficiencies OKC has as a team. The worst part is there's no way for them to even try and get better until really 2020; Melo is definitely opting in for that one last bag now that he's irrevocably :flabbynsick: at this point in his career, which will destroy any cap flexibility they would've gotten by PG leaving AND they don't have a single pick in this draft, not even a 2nd rounder, to try and add any cheap rookie deal talent with :dead:

Sam Presti took a franchise altering gamble last offseason and I don't think it's gonna pay off :lupe:

Presti covered his bases though, getting Russ locked into that deal will allow them to move him if they need to.

I can already see the Knicks giving up a lot for him.

I think Russ and PG would have been better alone and got players to stock the bench
Russ is either gonna shoot you out the game or shoot you in no in between

This is where Paul George comes in as an efficient shooter to take better shots then Russ like KD (Not on the same level but) he was bought in to be a poor man's KD
And he has been shooting :trash: all year

Melo:huhldup::scusthov::damn::mindblown::patrice::pachaha::picard: Bamboozled everyone into thinking he wasn't washed and it was the knicks fault for him being washed up saying that Phil Jackson was bugging.
(It's still fukk Phil Jackson tho:pacspit:)

But melo wasn't made for this new basketball era he was made for the late 90's mid 2000's inefficient iso playing style.

factor in his :flabbynsick: and always being a selfish player who never gelled with teammates it was a match made in:trash:

Should of looked for another rebounding big who could spread the floor and put him at the 4 spot next to Adams and Billy Donavon

actually put in a system:whoo: the thunder might have been a real problem this year:youngsabo:

But they went with the big 3 formula and got:trash::damn:

Also Roberson injury was a big blow on the defense of side of the ball

Don't think Paul George stays brehs

But melo can opt in for that cash:lupe:

:rip: Thunder brehs :mjcry:

Damn you right I forgot Russ hadn't actually agreed on the extension before those moves were made. I guess he really didn't have much choice if he didn't want Russ to leave like KD for nothing, but man, what a high price to pay if this all don't work out this year :wow::lupe:

If they lose PG13 it might be time to put Russ on the market, they would be stuck with a team like last years Thunder but even worse with a more washed Melo :scust:

I still want to see them in a series against Golden State, just to see what happens. Then I will pass final judgement.
Pretty much this.

At one point, the only team i wanted Houston to avoid was OKC bc 1.) i felt they had the star power to be a pain in the ass for anyone if/when they "clicked", like a discount version of the '11 Heat... and 2.) i felt OKC was simply destined for playoff fukkery against the GSW, so i'd rather we settle the score vs a healthy SAS in the 2nd round.

But at this point, so much weird shyt has happened with OKC, GSW, and SAS that i don't know what to think or if i even care :ld:
but i still want to see Russ vs KD... which would be even crazier if that was a 2/7 seed with Curry being out. Basically Melo/PG/Russ vs KD/Klay/Dray

who's gonna want a 30 year old russ with a massive long term contract? Presti shot himself in the foot. They're stuck with each other till russ retires

edit: just checked the numbers, he signed a 5 year 200 mill contract :dahell: good for him but bad for the organization

I think they have a shot of beating the Warriors just because I'd expect Russ to focus a little better and Quinn Cook is food.
First round? Shiiit as bad as they're playing right now I'd give them a damn GOOD shot against Steph-less Warriors.

My ideal path for GS to the Finals actually would be Jazz, Thunder, Rockets :ohlawd:

That'd be legit af. They go through that and I'll never talk about their easy path again. But if OKC faces Rockets first round and Warriors luck continues while not even being the top seed, maaan
