Yeah, I do think states have made ID verification requirements a little too strict, asking for too much.
As long as a person has their social security card, birth certificate, a proof of address like a piece of postmarked mail or a residential lease (if you're renting) , a current utility bill and such, that should be it.
Ain't no way they can say you're not the person with all that kind of information in your hand.
After 9/11 that's when (at least NYS) gotten a little too heavy handed for a person to aquire a Picture ID, that should be one of the easiest things to obtain in America but some states made it harder with the miscellaneous shyt they're asking for.
I've been had mines but I got a cousin trying to get her first Non-Driver ID and some of the shyt they're asking for is impossible for her to have at the age she is at 24, I'm helping get what she needs but it's gonna take a minute. Currently 27yrs old and I didn't get my driver license until I was 25 because I didn't have all the info needed.
I had to use a Sheriff's ID

at one point just to have a picture ID, that shyt is ridiculous.
