The only problem that I have with people who don't believe in God or a higher power, is when they ridicule those who do.

Probably because millions of people have been tortured slaughtered and killed in wars over religion.

So how was this world created? To me just looking into the world confirms my belief in a higher power. Take a spider for example how does it know how to create a web. I'm sure it didn't take geometry class or web architecture. I rather believe in a higher power than not to believe and go off what man says. So 2 atoms came out of nowhere and collided and created this vast and never ending universe?

many scientists will say that it's the spider's dna that makes it behave that way, but within the dna are instructions that will eventually govern behavior. from where did those come?

I don't usually partake in discussions surrounding religion because it usually ends up with 1 question being answered with a question. Where's the education in that? However, since I'm in here, let me play devil's advocate for a minute. For those of you that believe in God, answer this question... "Who created God?" My mom's a Jehovah's Witness, so I asked her that question when I was younger. I wanna see if any of you will give me the same answer she gave me.

Nobody knows for a certainty, because we can also ask the question, what was there before the big bang? All that will end up happening is back and forth speculation which will fan into the same religious debate, so ultimately, people will believe what they believe.

I think it's kind of silly when people say "bless you" after sneezing and use phrases involving god or preach or talk about praying and heaven and hell it seems like people want something to believe in to get by with the boredom of life. Now I don't have all the answers like sway would but it is possible that there isn't a higher power. Also possible that religion is one of the biggest money generators next to the prison system and secret society of elitists and bankers which all tie into each other.

That's exactly why I said I don't usually partake in religious discussions. Back on topic, though. When I asked my mom that question as a jit, she said something along the lines of, "With God, there's no beginning and there's no end." If she would've given me a more direct answer, I was gon' say, "Well, who created God's creator," etc... It would've resulted in a never-ending discussion on who created who.

I haven't been to church in about 16 years, so I'm illiterate when it comes to Christianity and religion as a whole, but I plan on going back to church, 'cause I'm curious about a lot of things. For example, my mom, who's a Jehovah's Witness, always says... "There's only one true God (Jehovah), and only those serving him, will be resurrected after Armageddon." That statement made me say, "Everyone who serves God think that their God is the 1 true God. What if your God isn't the 1 true God, then what?" To be honest, religion confuses me, 'cause they're so many different types.
