I agree,I dont knock people who feel the way you do,there are alot of things in the bible that makes you feel that some of it is just way too wild to be true,but I also dont knock people who do believe in it.

I just feel people should do as they feel,we all know right from wrong,live your life accordingly to what you feel is right and wrong and when that times come for death and the unknown after life,let the chips fall where they may,because none of us actually knows what's going to happen after you breath that last breath.

Ultimately that's why I find it important to see what's in there on your own. That's how a lot of people get hustled by these prosperity preachers. No need to wait for someone else to interpret things for you when you have the source text for yourself.

I think u may have misunderstood me. There is no bet for me. I actually do believe. However Pascal's wager is just a common sense way of approaching belief in that u really have nothing to lose believing in a divine figure, depending on ur beliefs.

What I see in this thread is a lot of disdain for organized religion instead of actual belief in the divine or the possibility of such a thing existing.

If such is the case, I would encourage people to analyze the positives and negatives of the belief system, take the good and leave the bad and keep it moving.

Organized religion ironically doesn't have much to do with the divine and the sacred. It never has. Organized religion is for humanity and thus subjected to all it's trappings.

However, that doesn't necessarily mean that the message itself is tainted.

So how was this world created? To me just looking into the world confirms my belief in a higher power. Take a spider for example how does it know how to create a web. I'm sure it didn't take geometry class or web architecture. I rather believe in a higher power than not to believe and go off what man says. So 2 atoms came out of nowhere and collided and created this vast and never ending universe?

So just cuz someone can't explain to you certain elements of the universe it automatically means a higher power authority created them. Thats called God of the Gaps. If were having this discussion 150 years ago you would would be saying the same thing about the earth being flat.

I think it's kind of silly when people say "bless you" after sneezing and use phrases involving god or preach or talk about praying and heaven and hell it seems like people want something to believe in to get by with the boredom of life. Now I don't have all the answers like sway would but it is possible that there isn't a higher power. Also possible that religion is one of the biggest money generators next to the prison system and secret society of elitists and bankers which all tie into each other.

Why do people speak in absolutes about shyt that can't be proven? Same way Christians claim God is real and believe it 100% atheists do the same shyt just have the opposite belief. People scared to admit they do not know 100% without a doubt. To me it's just as hard to believe that civilization magically came to be from a Big Bang out of nowhere.

And newsflash, whatever started creation, Big Bang, Jesus, Allah, whatever, is your God, they/it created everything so that is your God whether u choose to follow him/it or not

When it comes down to it, you just have to read over it prayerfully and have discussions with other believers and you'll end up in the direction you need to go. From the multitude of counselors on that subject, you'll find your way. There are a few believers on here such as Reincar and myself that you can hit up if you have any questions about what you've read.
