cool so if he doesn't exist why waste time on it? will you make a thread about loch ness not existing, or santa clause, or aliens? why not make a thread on everything that doesn't exist? and why do you care?
yeah op, just cause no one goes to war over santa doesn't mean he don't deserve more threads :mjcry:

on the other hand :patrice:

a simple answer to all those questions could be that religion and God stand as the most commonly proffered solution to the most fundamental questions of human identity, and identity tends to have a large say over human affairs-which we can all agree are far from perfect or even satisfactory- so it is not surprising that people would want to talk about the veracity of religion. :ohhh:

I think people need to open their minds to the possibility that the relationship between the human race and god is the same relationship between us and livestock
well...I can see livestock and livestock can see me...so there is that difference:patrice:

When it comes down to it, you just have to read over it prayerfully and have discussions with other believers and you'll end up in the direction you need to go.
why? doesn't this method concern you as biased?

make thread God doesn't exist without proving he doesn't exist brehs.

make thread bashing religious clowns but put God doesn't exist in title for shock value brehs

make threads because people have sh*tted on you and or your life sucks so you blame it on the God who you say doesn't exist brehs

be mad your existence is irrelevant and sucks thus making you hate a God you claim doesn't exist brehs

See, when people believe in God, it reveals facts and qualities about them.

1. An inability to face scientific facts.
2. The ability to ignore MOUNDS AND MOUNDS of evidence.
3. A strong capacity for denial.
4. Attempting to live in a reality that is different from actual reality.
5. The inability to understand high school physics, geometry, biology, mathematics and geography. 'how was the earth created?' Pick a REAL book up instead of a book written in the fukking Bronze Age where brehs didn't know where the sun went and the Earth was a goddamn CD.
6. An inability to understand history.
7. Persistent belief in fairy tales - a global flood? Talking snakes? Making bytches outta ribs? Populating the world with incest?
8. Not realizing that there are trees and buildings (The Pyramids) older than religion and the biblically accepted age of the Earth.
9. Believing that Mary was a virgin. Mofukka please. She had some random dikk in her and got shook when she was pregnant, so she put it on god.
10. The inability to take responsibility for their actions. 'Devil' made me do it!! Stfu
11. The capacity to judge. Religious people, specifically Christians, are always the first mofukkas to say you're going to hell.
12. Patience. The ability to spend a lifetime on your knees, paying 10% of your income for an invisible product you can't use until you die, and watch disasters happen around you, family and friends die, and chalk it up to them not being loved enough by your god, or that he works in mysterious ways, or that he has a plan for everybody, or not to question.
13. Inability to take criticism or handle scrutiny. The moment somebody tries to ask why you tell them to stfu and just believe without question. Would you drink a drink a random stranger hands you at the club? foh
14. Ignoring the fact that all the shyt in the Quran, Torah and bible all happened in the same goddamn areas.

So how was this world created? To me just looking into the world confirms my belief in a higher power. Take a spider for example how does it know how to create a web. I'm sure it didn't take geometry class or web architecture. I rather believe in a higher power than not to believe and go off what man says. So 2 atoms came out of nowhere and collided and created this vast and never ending universe? :mjlol:
So who made god breh? what is he made of? why is he allowing black people to be suppressed like this? why is he letting planes crash, ships to capsize, NOT feeding us, NOT providing us, NOT answering prayers, letting millions of children die DAILY, is god white? is god black? is god asian? is god a female?

Let's assume god is real. and that he really did make the earth. and then he made a bunch of other useless planets we can't live on. and then created trillions of galaxies, many of which have a high possibility of harbouring life.

He can't even stop natural disasters from happening on Earth.

He is either willing, but unable.
Or able, but not willing.

So either he's a selfish piece of shyt, or a useless piece of shyt.

Why is our DNA over 90% old shyt from the past and only about 4-6% actually usable?
Why does bone cancer in children exist?

Meh. I'm a firm believer in God. I've had a sense of the divine both in myself and the world around me since I was little. However atheism just doesn't bother or phase me.

God's existence isn't contingent on whether people believe in God or not. I just don't see the point of debating somebody's personal experiences of their idea of the sacred. Personally I see God in just about everything. Its unfathomable to me even at the atomic level that people think that life and the constant push to live and understand and love is something random or unplanned. It's also intellectually arrogant to assume that just b/c I can't ascertain something with my empirical senses, it must not exist.

But people believe what they need to believe in the end, whether they believe in God or not. Regardless, I'm more of the mind of Pascal's wager. If I die today or tomorrow and God doesn't exist, I lost virtually nothing by believing in God. But if God does exist, I will have wasted a lifetime ignoring the divine and failing to live up to my divine potential...

Meh. I'd encourage people to merely be open in their hearts and minds to the possibility. If u can't there is probably some underlying issues that ironically have nothing to do with the idea of a divine sacred.

Interesting.

I've got sort of an anti-Pascal's wager.

If God exists, and is a god of love, then he won't be too torn up over me using my reason and logic observing death, sickness, tragedy, and the inherent brutality and arbitrariness of nature, and coming to the conclusion that he does not exist.

If he is truly evil, judging his creation harshly behind the facade of "love", then why would I choose to serve him?

If he doesn't exist, then I won't have wasted my life clinging on to false hopes.

I'd say that's worth a lot. :yeshrug:

I think we'll see just how much there is to true human equality once America isn't majority white in a few decades. If Hispanics, blacks, etc finally get the real chance to start owning more and more things in this country, and not being oppressed, then maybe God really did have a plan and Ijust looked at it short-sightedly

If cacs still rule the world though, then fukk it

It's the religious fanatics that take their religious text literally that we have to worry about. As it is, we have a nation full of religious sometimers that pick and choose what to believe and when to believe it...with fanatics sprinkled here and there. Religious fanatics rule the Middle East. How has that worked out for them the past millennia?

Ain't no talking snakes brehs. They evolved from legless lizards. and never gained the art of advanced communication. They even teach your pastor in theology school that the Bible is loaded with parables not to be taken in a literal sense. But he can't share that from the pulpit. Not directly anyway.

If God is truly some being, then he is foul for being omnipotent and allowing the atrocities this world has been and continues to be witness to. I don't like that showing favor talk either. All-loving beings don't show favor aka favoritism. Some of this stuff doesn't add up when you bring logic into the picture....:beli:
