Some people are under the impression that God must do something about every little situation they deem as a problem. Bringing up examples of sports... I can't see why God would care who wins the quarter finals or whatever you call it or how that has anything to do with his will. If you question your faith based on rather or not God chooses to answer yes to a prayer about your favorite team winning a game, becoming a millionaire, or even regrowing a limb, you never had any real faith at all. Because any real Christian knows being a Christian isn't about prospering in the middle of a sinful world it's about following Christ. And we follow Christ because this life is short but eternity is forever. The only way to make it into heaven is through Jesus Christ. So when you pray for prosperity what do you hunk God intends to do for you? Do you think the lords going to give you a million dollars to splurge on sinful things industry in girls and this that and the third. Because a sin is anything that seperates you from God and his word. What we go through in this life can bring us CLOSER to God. In the end the Lords going to give you what you need to get you to heaven not what you think you need for the 50 something more years you're going to spend on earth.

I don't know. It's really not my place to question why the lord chooses to do or not to do something; even though I find myself frustrated sometimes, it's his program. If I ask him for salvation I know it doesn't include living in a picture perfect world I'm asking for him to deliver me from evil and to make it to heaven. What we view as problems are always going to exist in this world it's not easy it never has been its full of pain and opposition I don't think we should expect God to jump out of no where and make some dramatic change. I just chose to have faith in him and try and keep in mind that there's something more meaningful than this short life here.
