It takes extreme narrow-mindedness and self-centeredness to think God would concern himself with his basketball team when he hasn't yet managed to get children dying from war, starvation, and disease under control yet.

Passes moral judgement? He said Jason Collins is a good man and he is praying for him and his family. And why wouldn't God be concerned with a basketball game? Seeing how nobody died on the court and the roof didnt collapse on the arena I would say God was just as present at the Game as he was at Sunday Morning service, but who are you or I to try to say what God is or isn't concerned about?

basically you saying since mark jackson made a mistake he is no longer qualified to talk about god, have any principles or standards to live by and cant openly acknowledge his faith

when in fact, religion itself only means to reconnect and its for people who have made a mistake and want to find a holy standard to live by.
