I got the Bose Soundsports for that..lol. Which are much more comfortable than those air pod gimmicks.

Apple Airpods are a completely different type of headphones, and are a MUCH better option to be walking around in.

The airpods sit in your ear VERY SECURELY. I hoop while wearing mine and they are rock solid. Again, all those doubting should go to the apple store and try them first. I guarantee you'd be impressed.

Those Bose soundsports are trash sound quality wise. I had them for a week and took them back. They do sit in your ear well though. The Jaybird X3 buds sound much better. A runner up is the cheap ($30) Anker soundbuds slim+..amazing for the price. And they sound better than the crappy ass Bose ones

Unless you get a secure fit, probably not. Airpods are not IEMs (ear fukkers) so they dont seal. The seal is needed for better bass, so i'd say they are not really in the same category. They dont sound good as other buds in the same class as them tho. Try out those Jaybirds or Ankers

Man the Airpods sound equal to the Soundsports. But the seamless pairing make them the winner. The soundsports are the first BT headphones that held a strong connection though. But their unweidly and heavy when compared to the light and svelte Airpods.

Again, for $20 extra the jump in features and quality is well worth it.

Airpods are literally superior to the Soundsports in every way. And i own and love them both breh.
