So the new GOW fixes the button mashing combat and adds some new variation to the combat making it more up close and intimate, adds a new behind the shoulder camera with no cuts throughout the game and adds RPG elements such as different armor, loot and abilities.

In the context of my post(that yo wierdo ass remember and went to look up) the right move would have been for GOW to get more like those games in technical skill/difficulty or like Darksiders as I mentioned.

This guy makes some great videos

I'd say the hack and slash genre is in a decent place. If we're including Souls/Bloodborne for example, they're popular franchises. Just last year we also saw NIER, and Nioh drop, a new Bayonetta is dropping this year. So while the quantity for the genre has slimmed down, the quality is pretty high.

Will God of War's gameplay be able to hold up with the other games mentioned? We know the story will be executed on a top tier level...

This appears to be what I wanted out of GOW4, it looks less faily and more personal in combat. That plus the story


Spiderman I'm still not sold on, it looks a bit to much like it want's to be spiderman...uncharted. But Gow4 looks great sofar
