God Of War Ragnarok is the most overrated game of this gen.

Am I the only one who think this shyt is a 5/10 at best? Seriously, the combat is fukking trash (enemies could still hit you from behind a fukking wall) there’s way too many boring/repetitive puzzles to solve, I play video games for fun not to be burnout from constantly solving some stupid ass rubik cube style level. The story was boring and felt rushed. I found nearly every character unlikable except for Odin, Kratos and those two dwarfs and that talking head breh.


I tried to give this game a chance but I simply just hate it.

Even TLOU 2 was way more enjoyable than this. This game felt like a huge huge downgrade from God Of War 2018.

It's both a better and worst game than 2018.

Gameplay wise the movement, climbing, traversal and combat is much more better.

However the story suffers from bloat and Ragnarok itself seemed underwhelming. And the Atreus sections went on too long.

But I've put in countless hours in Valhalla because the combat is great.

I enjoyed the hard nosed feel of the first GOW games,very agressive and more true to the title. The storyline in the 2018 game was incredible but it took away from what I initially loved about the game and it's main character. Still enjoyed Ragnarok but the 2018 GOW was better. I'd love a reboot from the original three games with current graphics.

You’ll probably get universal praise in the story beats and reveals of 2018 but it’ll be a bit more divisive with how ppl feel Ragnorak stuck (or didn’t stick) the landing. I wasn’t impressed at all with the 2nd half of Ragnorak’s story.

Gameplay was still fun, but obviously just the same foundation from 2018 with some minor additions that were cool but not earth shattering (the spear) and others that completely fell flat (playing as the kid).

It's definitely not as good as GoW 2018. The story dragged in the middle and third act, especially the Atreus sections. The combat and graphics were excellent tho.

I'd give it a 8/10.

The only thing 2018 has over Ragnarok is story.

Ragnarok has better combat/bosses/enemy variety/ and valhalla also makes it have way more replayability then 2018.

Aterus parts in ragnarok is ass though.
