Ragnarok includes a battle where the gods die. This has potential to be the GOAT God of War game and a perfect way to end the franchise.
What they could do to is split the game up into multiple parts with multiple protagonists from their respective mythological gods.

GOW 2 better be non stop action from beginning to end
GOW was dope but there was a little too much walking at times and not enough boss fights

This is probably the set up, with Ragnarok at the very end leading into the fallout in game 3.

Apparently it took like 6 months for one team to make a boss fight in the first game. They have hired a shyt ton of people recently and a sequel should be easier to make than a base game, so I'd imagine we'll get a wider variety of boss fights.
