Yep, they gotta go to Iceland/denmark/norway, etc.
but i also want it to look gritty and cool like the northmen or like the green knight. Sometimes i know if I’ll be into a show just in the type of film they use, thats one of my big problems with Gen V and to a lesser extent The Boys. They look like CW shows
you want to know a show that looks good? For all Mankind, See, The Foundation, Monarch, etc. everything on apple
HBO and Apple are the best at investing into the look of their tv shows

Makes sense. Adapt the Norse series. Use the Greek series as flashbacks.
The backdrop screen tech used in Superman was pretty incredible
If you're hell bent on a live action tv adaptation, then yea the Norse route always made the most sense from a budget perspective;
i.e. can naturally fill the gap between large action set pieces with father/son "character development" moments. I'm sure they'll also give GoT type scenes for the Norse gods, and backstories for Freya and her kids, as well as Kratos and both his previous wives. Basically a lot of downtime for talking lol
But with that said, i feel a universal stance by many is that Artreus is at best "mid", if not the worst/most annoying character of the franchise. So there's also that

God of war didn’t even get mega-popular until the Norse Saga. God of War 3 sold under 5 million copies and GoW2018 sold 25+ Million copies.
Most fans of the series only know of the Greek series through youtube videos and flashbacks anyway.
The show lives and dies on who they cast to play kratos. If its as bad as the last of us casting as been then they might as well not even bother. But the showrunner/writer is a legend in tv (for all mankind, Battlestar) and Cory Barlog is assisting with writing and producing.

I mean... I think the main casting across the board has to hit or it'll drag the show down massively.
Freya, Kratos, Loki, Thor, Odin, Mimir, and Baulder. The Greek gods probably can get by with some cool cameos by Hollywood stars, but it's just depends on what Amazon is willing to spend.

Yeah, but order of importance…there’s a gulf between kratos and everyone else, you need someone that can play both Greece and Norse roles, which is something they didn’t evne do in the games.
GOT effect on high production TV. Everything has to be immaculate or it's trash.
