nice, another cliche documentary about some over-hyped NY player who was only huge due to the "lore" of NYC playground players back at that time.

in reality, like every other NY "legend", once he left the neighborhood, he realized there were other players who actually "play" the game better than him.

at Providence he averaged 9.6 points per game and 6 assists. :francis:

might as well dig up Speedy Claxton and do a documentary on him as well :bryan:

None of those guys was really hyped up that way except for Telfair and Lopez.
Alston was a street ball legend and he actually had a good career.

Why don't you make a thread about all the hyped basketball players from Duke who never amounted to shyt.
Or any other City or State?

A lot of players from all over have been failed.
Seems like a NY inferiority complex.

Jonny Flynn is from Upstate NY, he grew up closer to Toronto than NYC.

I always thought Kareem Reid was better than Shamgod. Not to say Shamgod was garbage by any means.

Dude just posted a bunch of players who were never highly regarded anyway.
Most were 2nd round picks or completely undrafted...which goes to show you that despite whatever you thought...actual talent evaluators pegged most of them accurately.

Almost none of those names are players who were projected to be Top 10 guys and be superstars and then failed.
There are no Kwame Browns on his list.
