He's wrong. It's not the "NFL fanbase", it's "triggered white people" upset at the optics of NFL players protesting at one of their status symbols. The idea that it's confined to the NFL fanbase is dumb, knowing that if NBA players kneeled, we'd quickly see white paying NBA fans AND league react in the same manner.
