I'm actually finally accepting this now and slowly falling out of it, and I've been a fan on and off since my teens. Rapping about doing this and that to your family, dead relatives, exposing questionable shyt about your personal life, etc. My tolerance for it is negatively correlated with my age.

I fell out of caring for battle rap when the following happened:

• Canibus brought out the notebook
• People overhyped the Loaded Lux verse (Yeah he said some true shyt but it became the "nikkas vs Black People" Chris Rock meme for cacs to gloat about)
• Reed Dollaz got exposed for being washed (Let Philly down breh)
• Tech 9 getting exposed more ways than one
• Cassidy getting exposed for an emotional lame that spit corny ass "bARs" like its 2003 again
• Joe Budden being so ho made its not even funny
• When cacs tried to be on their B Rabbit/Blind Fury shyt
• When it became a spectacle rather than a raw gritty event
• When Smack DVDs ended

Now its all a big mess of flabbiness and out of touch weirdos that will never move a unit, but can trash each other out at the mercy of a crowd of weed carriers, dusty brehs, and washed up rappers.
