When I express those same sentiments coli clones interpret that as me "hating" African-Americans.
When all I'm saying is that African Americans didn't always welcome black immigrants with open arms. Any black person who migrated here in the 80s and 90s knows this. On the other end is the resentment of africans towards African Americans over the stupid jokes like those in Eddie Murphy's Raw and other African jokes/stereotypes. All this because of the reasons he stated in the vid.

But Ive seen the change over time, tho. African Americans are now more open to other black cultures. shyt brings a smile to my face when I see African American women at Kizomba, or Haitian Zouk and Kompa clubs getting their dance on.

Yeah, he said some real shyt about how Africans are portrayed in America a certain way. AA were only forced to view them the same way the rest of America did.

Godfrey hit it right on spot with the white media outlet from tv and film aspect that effects AA and AFRICANS.

Growing up here in America without social media at the time and up had white school books, tv and movies would portray Africans as all poor with bugs flying on they bodies, animals running wild, cartoons with real dark skinned people with bones in their noses and in their hair and every African begging for help.

Then I know it effected the Africans the same way where they in Africa and watching t.v. or a movie and they see American blacks as drug dealers, pimps, hoes, killing white people, etc. So when they get to America they feel a certain way towards African American blacks because of it..

And even on this board in 2018 we still have the same problems and white folks still capitalizing off the distance between the two

Didnt know that's all it took to be considered "woke". They're not saying a whole lot of things most of us werent already aware of.

Truth is Africans, black caribbeans, black latinos, and north-american blacks are all aware of the suffering that oppression by white supremacy inflicts on people of color. We may have different opinions that leads to bickering and next thing you know you have people calling each other names (like c00ns is the coli favorite) but in the end we've all see one aspect of it or another.

African americans may have a better understanding of certain white supremacy tactics than Africans because they've lived behind enemy lines all their lives. They've seen various tricks used by whites that may look innocent on the surface but have other lethal effects. While black people in African countries have seen another aspect of it with an even more devastating impact in some parts because whites can destroy it an not worry about having to rebuild it since they have no intention of staying there unlike north America.
