Going on vacation with parents

I’m going on a 3 day vacay solo to Chicago. Thinking about taking mom and dad with me they are both in 70s. I was planning on going by myself but thought should I take them with me. Anyone purposely take their older parents on vacay

Yes I have. My parents are also in their late sixties. We’ve taken them on cruises and to Disneyworld.

I am so blessed to still have both my parents as many of my peers have lost their parents in their sixties and seventies. My husband’s father died a decade ago.

Take them, they will appreciate it so much.

I do this with mine; they'll appreciate it. Just know that you will be the parent to them, so plan to make it as easy as possible for them

Yeah my parents are about that age but there is nothing about them that screams elderly or whatever. Like its not like i have to roll them around or change a diaper or some ish lol. They are just regular people and do regular ish. I'm bout to go on a beach trip with my mother in a few weeks

Take them. I been trying to get my mom out to Cali to go to Disneyland with my kids

Trip might be rough with elderly but u will look back and cherish that shyt forever. Do it my guy

But
Plan to take my dad somewhere next year
Hes had some health complications that havent allowed him to travel for a while

I'd go w/my dad and stepmom as long as I didn't have sit next to my dad on the plane

just know it will be pretty tame not wild like you're by yourself

Depends on what you want to do. I mean if you going solo and planning to do shyt you don't really want your parents around for them probably shouldn't. I've seen too many situations where someone has been trying to lose a person that they brought with them on vacation so they can do hoodrat shyt with someone they met on vacation.

If you trying to do tourist stuff and eat deep dish and Italian beef(pause) then bring them and enjoy yourselves.

Really depends on how your parents are but....priceless memories breh. Ive gone on numerous trips with mine.
I had my entire fam join me on my 40th trip to Miami. Went to KOD and everything. Watched both have the time of their life.

They gone now but I have those memories forever.

Yes. They will be able to accommodate the amount of walking around you may wanna do. Either plan them some excursions or do activities that aren't dependent on foot travel. Food options may be contentious depending on dietary restrictions. I stay heated at get together because I have to cave every time and go somewhere that has raw vegan options. Everything else was cake

They'll definitely appreciate it. Plan a couple of things for them and join them.You can do your thing in the evening time. I used to go on cruises with my parents and those were some of the best times of my life. My pops ain't around anymore but I still take my mom and my aunt to the beach with me and they always have a blast.
