Well... My sister in-law’s family own a couple BBQ places in Dallas. It’s called Winners BBQ. One location is in Plano Tx, the other in Cedar Hill. Best BBQ I ever had. Try there.

Deep ellum has a good places as well. There’s a good authentic Mexican restaurant called Ruins, been there a few times, it’s on Commerce across from house of blues. Uptown has joints as well.

African American history museums are all dope but into all types mainly the cool ones for example I was at the spy museum in DC a few weeks ago.
