Just off the top of my head there's so many benefits...

1) You'll look younger and age gracefully

2) You'll never have weight issues again unless you're not careful with your sugar intake.

3) You'll save money. Fruits and vegetables aren't expensive at all compared to meat.

4) You'll hardly ever get sick again.

5) You'll smell better

I'm hopping on this wave and never looking back.

pump the brakes, breh :whoa:

With all do respect, I been vegan for yeeeeeears. I personally know people who have gained more weight being a vegan than not being one. It's bad vegan alternatives just like any other food. Sugar, starch, bad fat, etc. We gotta keep it a G, being plant based is GREAT but balance is better.

Limit the adulterated foods and you should be fine.

The vegans with the shaky rep and the shaky health are the ones that ONLY prioritize the "animal cruelty free" mantra and end up consuming heavily processed foods. As many know, oreos, many starchy coagulating breads, and most fast food fries are "vegan."

A lot of the conveniently pre-made vegan alternatives are chock full of stuff that have no business being consumed by living beings.

Check labels frequently, and consider going the DIY route for certain things. More time consuming, but it is worth it.

I never eat this bad on the regular but it was the holiday and I said fukk it. I feel like shyt right now. Multiple bathroom trips, bloating, plus indegestion cuz everything gotta be spicy, thought I'd go out tonight but I feel bad. I guess smoothies and hummus tomorrow.

Maybe instead of thinking of a vegan/vegetarian lifestyle, one should think of going for an alkaline/electric lifestyle?
That's Dr.Sebi's approach to health. The body is made up of acid and alkaline. You can get sick from eating too much alkaline. Dr.Sebi advocated for alkaline diets because most people eat too many acid foods. A healthy human ph is like 7.52 or something.

It's illogical to get sick from eating "too much" alkaline.. acid is the cause of sickness, period.

Oh 7.365 is the PH level of what we are before we consume acids and what we need to reach to rid ourselves of diseases, cancers, etc.

Interesting. I agree to an extent. There should be balance. 80/20 alkaline to acidic maybe? I've checked out a few acidic/alkaline food/drug charts and they have differing information. I like self-experimenting though

Quick google search told me that these are the symptoms of being too alkaline (this site called it alkalosis) I take it with a grain of salt since I think a lot of "science" is anecdotal.

  • Confusion (can progress to stupor or coma)
  • Hand tremor
  • Lightheadedness
  • Muscle twitching
  • Nausea, vomiting
  • Numbness or tingling in the face, hands, or feet
  • Prolonged muscle spasms (tetany)

No, it's completely rational you could completely ruin you digest system from consuming too much alkaline. Saying your diet should solely be akaline is over simplying health imo. You literally have vegans & vegetarians being sent to the hospital from consuming too much akaline, especially from these akaline water filters. Your stomach has to be acidic so does your scalp and skin for example. Alkaline and Acid are like polarities on isn't bad necessarily, it's just two ends of a spectrum.

Yeah it's all a bit subjective, to be honest. i don't think it's a one size fit all diet. I'm mostly vegan but still eat honey & bee pollen. And bread baked with eggs but seldomly ever.
