Goku can turn to SSJ3 quickly when he’s fully rested. He took time for Fat Buu because he was trying to waste time and let his kids take care of it and it took him awhile against Kid Buu because he was already drained.

Vegeta was much weaker than SSJ2 Goku and needed the Majin powerup to compete and Goku was still holding back the majority of his power because he didn’t want to embarrass Vegeta more.

Goku went ssj3 in the manga I think almost instantly against kid buu. He didn't fight him in ssj like in the anime. Vegeta gets wrecked. Now db super vegeta stands a much better chance assuming no ultra instinct

Goku got his ass beat by fat robot clown. Wouldved gotten worked his ass beat even worse than Vegeta if he had fought 18. Vegeta's SSJ at that time was stronger than Goku's SSJ.

Outclassed by who? Goku was dead and Vegeta was the strongest Z fighter. The only reason Goku can do ssj3 is because he was dead. As stated, you don't need to eat or sleep when you die. Goku was training nonstop for 7 years to get ssj3. He wouldn't have gotten it otherwise, nor is it viable in the living world. Drains stamina too fast on living people. Which is why he was so shocked that he and Vegeta's ssj2 was even despite the power boost your levels get from your highest ssj level. It's why Goku acknowledged that even though the boosts he gets from training while dead, Vegeta somehow was training even harder since they were even at ssj2. He defeated absolutely ZERO people as ssj3. He cant finish anyone fast enough despite the power boost it gives him because it drains him too quickly. Which is why Vegeta's and Trunk's ssj2 is stronger than Gokus ssj3. He don't even use it anymore.
