Gold Chain purchase

I'm thinking of buying a gold chain with a cross pendant ...nothing to flashy but something decent. I don't know much about jewlery but How much should I be expecting to drop ? and anyone know any legit websites I can survey just to see whats out there.

The price of gold has gone up. Anything low priced is 'plated' gold and not good. Stay away from junk.

I like www.bluenile.com because they've been around for awhile, but they mainly sell women's jewelry. Their chains will be a bit too thin to go with a man's pendant. You might be looking at $300 to $500 depending on weight, length, and karat.

Ok, I'm admittedly not the manliest dude around ... I'm 35, and I can't even grow a real beard.

That said, I cannot fathom the circumstances necessary for a guy to wear a necklace.

I mean, I was fascinated with the chains slick rick/rakim/ice t wore when I was a kid ... but, as an adult, I'll probably never wear a necklace of any kind.

I wear a wedding ring every day, and one of two Tag watches.

My unrelated, unsolicited advice -- fukk the chain, buy another watch.
