Exactly. How many times have we seen boxers get clipped being overconfident or those crazy moments where the guy who never takes clean hits is in trouble and the crowd senses it. This is scripted and fake but gave me similar feelings as when Roy Jones got knocked out the first time. If you're mad at a "squash match" for the sake of calling it a squash match then you're robbing yourself of a moment. This gives layers to Brock's character too because now even the Beast has a mountain to climb -- even if just mentally.

If your reasoning was "he ended Bret's career!!1!" that shyt is over with B. Bret is over it. Goldberg is over it. Dude regrets it, they talked it out there is NO hard feelings. The only tough crowd was Minnesota and honestly that doesn't even count.

Goldberg is a pro wrestling legend. Regardless of how you feel about him. Dude was out for 12 years and comes back. Anyone of that caliber is going to get a hero's welcome. Add nostalgia and there you go.

Also, I told yall time and time again that 95% the reason why Brock/Goldberg 1 sucked and got booed was because they half assed it and it was common knowledge they were out the door. It was different this time. I think people realized that he was more passionate and legitimately wanted a good time for his family and on a smaller scale his fans. Brock and Berg IIRC are pretty cool with each other so Brock was more than willing to let Goldberg eat. Brock can handle it.

That still doesn't mean that they need to run this thing into the ground (which WWE will) They need to be very careful because there are still good chances that Goldberg can face a negative crowd more frequently.
