They should of kept him with the US title alone for just a little longer

But whatever it's done wcw is dead

No check this out..... The way he was booked.... The people who needed to get squashed outright were squashed aka Disco Inferno.

But the other people gave a little bit more of a competitive match ala matches where they actually gave Goldberg a bit of a beat down and gave a bit of offense.

But the key to what and who Goldberg was can be put in one word.

Goldberg was the personification and incarnate of POWER.

His moves seemed and appeared like they legitimately hurt and his opponents sold it as so. It was more realistic, when he speared someone they for the most part stayed down...... And that wasn't even his finishing move, that Jackhammer looked DEVESTATING.

He didn't have a "cartoon esque" moveset like many wrestlers of today where they hit you with some move like a powerbomb to the turnbuckle and 30 seconds later dude is waking like nothing happened.

The way his matches were constructed were a little bit more intelligent than most people like to give credit to 15 seconds or 5 mins

the people loved goldberg though. they WANTED to see him win. they PAID to see the spear and the jackhammer.

you use goldberg the same way vince used hogan. coulda ate for several years.

That's really crazy when you think about it..after he lost the title to Nash he never got his revenge by regaining the title..but honestly, once he finally lost.. his mystique was gone. I'm sure it could've been restored if WCW had writers with brains.

I really miss Goldberg... no one nowadays has that same energy or feel to them, even Brock. Vince really dropped the ball with Goldberg... He should have recognized the asset that was sitting at home waiting for an opportunity, and:

• Paid him to wrestle, not sit him for some yrs
• Booked him like a monster, not Triple H's fukboi
• Treated him with respect so he could use him for more than 1 yr

Ultimately, Vince just had too much pride, once WCW was bought, it was game over for anyone not willing to make a damn fool of themselves.

I don't even blame him...dude took on Ted Turners empire and won.... ANYONE would have been tempted to flex on everyone else after that.
