It depends on what the context was behind that statement. If they're saying they are as good in a historical sense, then obviously they would be wrong. But if they're saying they are just as good (dominant in how they're playing right now and the last season), than there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

The tone was overall and everything they accomplished. I agree that this current team is as good as any...if they win the chip. But he made it seem like in an overall historical thing. My thing is either way they have to win. If we crown them now but the clippers win the chip do we say the clippers were a historically great team All I'm saying is lets see how this season plays out first before we make that claim.
