But how much a month is this person saving? How much a month are they spending? I think we all could guess that your average person with bad credit, doesn't do much saving and doesn't spend properly. If people lived in more modest fashions they wouldn't have bad credit. If you been workin' at a place for 10 years, you should have at least been able to save a good amount of money up to ease that transition in lifestyle until things get better or you learn another skill set.

If you are working in a position which has an expenditure account, where values are exchanged, where you deal with products that have a monetary value attached, etc. how can someone trust you with their money and finances, when you can't even be trusted with your own? Like I said, I don't agree with it in most cases, but I completely understand it.

I think Americans are the only people who find it impossible to not over indulge in life materialistically. You can pay your rent+bills and live on about 30/week for food. I've done it plenty of times. Americans feel like they "deserve" more so they'll overspend.

People in america, contrary to popular belief, aren't living much beyond their means. Its not cheap to live here...lets revisit my 41k/year two kids example.

Ok to raise a kid from birth to 18 it costs roughly about 100k you have 2 break that down yearly (11k), add in a modest monthly mortgage on a 80k house (18k), factor in the price of food if you spend about 600 a month on food. (7.2k), add in the car note on ONE car (4.8k). You are already at 41k and this is based off of the AVERAGE, that's not adding in insurance, incidental expenditures (getting the car fixed, hospital bills) and anything fun that you might want to do.

So to just MAINTAIN, you are already multiple thousands in the hole...no matter if you saved up or not that's gonna run out in a few months...what do you do then? Savings only go so far, breh. Everyone out here isn't blowing they checks on Gucci.

and NO you CAN'T live off 30/week for food, not eating properly. And you most DEF not feeding any kids with 30 a week. Be realistic.

First of all, what the fukk are you talking about because no post I ever quoted mentioned anything about kids? :what:

Edit: Now I see, but the post I quoted directly didn't say anything about kids. I'm only going on what you posted there.

all im saying is to employ or not employ people based on credit doesn't take into account so many factors. Its not like a degree requirement.

Ramen and Kool aid FTW!

I actually have lived off $30-35/week per food and I was never eating ramen or kool-aid. I'm in great shape and medically sound. People just don't know how to shop and they are spoiled on unnecessary stuff..

Bag of apples (around 10): $2.00
Loaf of bread: $2.00
Water: Faucet
Spaghetti noodles + rice: $2.00
Bundle of bananas (around 6): $2.00
Chicken/shrimp/meat (not my thing): but $10 if you want variety.
Tortillas (10 ct): $2.00
Pasta Sauce/Taco Seasoning: $1.00-2.00
Pack of peppers (green, yellow, red, orange): $2.00
1 Broccoli thing: $1.00
Fresh green beans: $2.00

And I don't even eat meat now, so I'd damn sure eat good off $30 a week now. :skip:

If you are that broke, I also don't get why you would FINANCE a car and have a note. And if you are broke enough to the point where your credit is bad, why are you out spending money to have "fun"? You need to be finding a better job and building some skills. :heh:

Its not like a degree requirement.

And yet, we know damn well you (and employers) have a hierarchy of schools who's degrees you consider acceptable, just as employers consider the kind of credit you have

If a dude came on here talkin' about he has a degree from Westwood College, you gonna be recommendin' him for a job? Would you hire him and put him on the same level as a Harvard grad? No. People's choices in life reflect who they are as a person, plain and simple.

Living frugally is the smartest thing you can do, hands down. The person who can do that is a good thinker and a good planner as well.

Again, the average homeowner in America has kids...thats not gonna work bro. And some graduate from westwood college prolly isn't going to have the same access to the same jobs at all. In fact Harvard graduates most likely have jobs already lined up. But busting your ass in school and making good grades is TOTALLY different from being laid off. Which has very little to do with personal choices.

I'm not saying people don't have to live more responsibly but there are factors outside of that that you just can't hold against people imo :yeshrug:

You are incredibly wrong. The wicked live by borrowing. You can only give after you have sought god and he has replenished you.

“If your brother becomes poor and cannot maintain himself with you, you shall support him as though he were a stranger and a sojourner, and he shall live with you. 36 Take no interest from him or profit, but fear your God, that your brother may live beside you. 37 You shall not lend him your money at interest, nor give him your food for profit. 38 I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt to give you the land of Canaan, and to be your God."
