All I know is @Gil Scott-Heroin gone either get or be giving out that work :pachaha:

Lakers win & the starters rest in the 2nd half I’m @ yo ass until next season.

Lakers lose & starters don’t play the full 2nd…this four eyes, wand waving fool will be insufferable
Lakers rested their starters during the second half and it didn't matter. Again, they struggled to generate offense in the 4th quarter scoring 16 points (it was the theme of the series).

Quite obviously, it was inconsequential whether they got rest or not.

Like I kept saying, arguing about 2-3 minutes rest wasn't going to solve their issues. The accumulative effect of being beaten up by a much bigger and athletic team without having a frontcourt was the root of all their problems.

I don’t get the point of playing small if you’re not going to take advantage of Rudy. I didn’t really see any effort to exploit that mismatch. Why was LeBron letting Julius lock him up? Why not make any effort to get switches onto Donte or NAW, who were both awful tonight?

My man @TOAD99 -

Do you really think it would've been wise to play someone who just had games of 4 fouls in 9 minutes and 2 fouls + 1 tech in 4 minutes? Do you think that would've changed anything for the Lakers? Especially given down the stretch when he could've easily put Minny in the penalty, giving them free points? What has Hayes proven in this series other than to be a liability?

The fact that there's even a question whether or not a borderline NBA big is some kind of savior for a playoff team should tell you everything.

:manny:

I don’t watch the lakers enough to really comment on this fully :manny:

But hell you would think that after 20 rebounds JJ could’ve done better than bringing Kleber off the bench

At the end of the day though, it’s just horrible roster building. Lakers need a legit center

Gobert finally woke up and realized the Lakers don't have a big worth a damn and played to his potential. That says less about what the Lakers didn't do and more about Gobert not taking advantage earlier in the series.

I watched Hayes in the limited minutes he got in this series, not only be a complete non-factor, but he was a detriment to the Lakers because he was fouling with reckless abandon and didn't know what he was doing on the floor. Nothing positive came out of the minutes where he had more fouls than points and rebounds. Nobody with any sense can expect a coach to keep playing someone like that who has multiple games who doesn't provide anything of worth.

And exactly, the issue is with the horrible roster and not about playing a borderline NBA big, who wouldn't have made the rotation of any other playoff team.
