Yea last year Mavs team was built around Luka strength and weaknesses
no lob threats for luka means teams can play him completely honest for the full game. it'd be different if LA had some shooters that stayed in motion off the ball constantly but those dudes dont grow on trees either

Really not gonna get too hyped off this game but there isn't anything that happened in Game 1 that was flukey or was way out of the ordinary. The Timberwolves have a very good 8 man rotation and they can shoot. There is a lot of wing defenders they can throw at the Lakers and they really took Reaves out of the game. By the 2nd half he had given up on trying to drive and was chucking up 3s.

As other posters have mentioned, the Wolves best themselves in crunch time while LeBron and Luka, you'd expect, to be able to get good shots/possessions more regularly than the Wolves down the stretch, but the way Game 1 played out, Luka, LeBron and Reaves will have to score 60-80 points between them or Rui gonna have to turn into the best shooter of all time :hubie:

Really wish abt would go back to feature this as part of his game MORE

Like earlier in his career , ( guess u kant complain too much after leadin league in makes )

rather then just focusing on the face up off the dribble 3, for 90 percent of the game

It’s that third level of scoring that would net him a few extra buckets:patrice:

Interesting I saw him in the mid post a number of times against the lakers , have that shot iso with a smaller player , back to the basket and he swung it out to the 3 point shooter instead of looking for it

Which is obviously by design of the coachn staff prioritising him gettin his team mates involved

but more so the 3 pt is better then 2 philosophy:manny:

Either way he has it basically there every game and he has basically abandoned it this year in a lot of scenarios
