They dont have deep bass but everything is level and sounds amazing. I take these on the plane with me every time.

Man how did I ever manage to live without these headphones?
I can't even listen to music on those crappy Apple EarPods anymore.
Only downside is that my ears get sweaty when I wear them on a hot day, but otherwise these are amazing.

So you like hiphop style headphones? if so the Sennheiser on-ear Urbanite and Momentum can be had for about $100. The Momentums are closer to $80 if you aren't getting the 2.0 version.
What kind of amp, I would just use it to play mp3s on the computer.
That's the one I bought a few years ago. They probably have newer versions out so research what the latest and greatest is and get that one.

That's all good if you can't hear the difference but my headphones have to deliver. I can't walk around listening to what sounds like music from a clock radiomy $5 family dollar headphones work just fine for me
unless you going to the studio still don't understand spending 400 on some headphones just to walk around campus or work out
