I have a 60 120hz led samsung I got off slick deals 999...
I bought a cheap one from target $350 46 led 60hz...sounds horrible but not that bad. Copped a soundbar and its straight.
Got tired of spending 1800 on these damn things.
Brand is element.![]()

the lg just jumped back in priceI wouldn't quite say its a bad thing. I gamed on a 60Hz TV for years and now that I game on a 240Hz honestly I don't notice the difference. Now when it comes to movies yeah there's a difference.
Its kinda like if you've never had better do you really know what you're missing? If I was in the market for a TV and the most I was willing to spend was $700 I'd strongly still consider that TV.
What LG is doing is actually pretty normal now. Many manufactures use fake refresh rates. they don't usually even use the term refresh rate anymore they way clear motion or motion flow or something meaningless to throw out a larger number.
you posted this TV

it says 120Hz effective refresh rate. they means basically that's a 60Hz TV that they use trickery with the back light to make you think it's 120Hz. when you're looking at a $700 and under TV that's what you're gonna find.

Im with u on that... 40" lcd 1400...then a 40 led 1699 then a 60 led 999...all samsung all still work...like 5 years strongThe Tv brand I recommend fully is samsung. Why? I boughtlike first in 06. Still works. Second one in 2011. Still works. Third this year in 2013.
Never had a single problem ever.
