pretty sure JR was still on the payroll despite not really doing anything, so Vince probably wanted to find any ol reason he could to fire him.

I know he hasn't called a match in a minute but still a shock. When JR's heart is into it, he could sell a Miz match. It's sad to think he'll never call another WrestleMania. I wonder what kind of tasteless tribute Vince will have Monday is any. I remember him on WCW. When he was at WM9 it was such a shock to me. Hands down the best to do it in the 22 years I've been watching wrestling.
That company's beyond saving but it's a moot point because i'm sure he knows better than to disgrace his legacy by letting the stink of TNA rub off on him like what's happened to so many of his colleagues over the years.

This to me is JR's best moment. His commentary makes this moment so much more epic. It always seemed like JR was one of those guys that was convinced that wrestling was actually real. Just listen to this
