I think we can expect an announcement in the summer or something because he will be out a minimum of 9 months with this injury but it'll probably be next April when he's back to 100%. There's a real possibility he misses all of next season and Kobe has never had an injury like this before.

He might look back on his career and realize he's done everything that can be done. He ain't got nothing to hold his head down on.

Depends on if it's a partial tear or not, Terrell Suggs had a partial tear and was back in under a year. Chauncey ruptured his achilles in Feb last year and was back by November.
