The Uncut Gems trailer had me interested in the other films these dudes have done so I checked it out on Prime
I viewed it as a dark comedy rather than a drama which made me enjoy it more. The part when he finds out he got the wrong guy from the hospital is probably the hardest I’ve laughed at a movie since the Ice Cube daughter reveal in 22 Jump Street.
When he tried to smash the girl I was uncomfortable af, made me lose all sympathy for him though I did like the fact that they didn’t try to hide the fact that Connie was a piece of shyt.
But yeah overall I enjoyed the pacing, and the fact that he was dumb af actually made it more suspenseful. Agreed that how it ended was a letdown, expected more, though it was nice to see his brother making some progress.

Watched this again last nite, still riding high off the Uncut Gems piff. Still good but the problem with this in comparison is the wrong brother who he broke out of the hospital is just not a good actor at all and his part is too big. He like single handedly brought the movie down a couple of notches.
Uncut Gems amateur actors were way better and their parts suited them better. And Sandler was way better than Pattinson was in this.

Saw this earlier in the week, cinematography and music was so fukking dope. Movie overall was solid, hopefully Uncut Gems is even better, hearing that it is..
