i sitll have almost all VHS tapes and DVDs ive ever had, and now over 50 blu rays. i prefer to own the physical media. some compression from streaming services is still too noticeable to me, and at peak hours my internet connection can suck. also, streaming services lose rights to movies every few years, so some movies become unavailable. most of my movies, especially the blu rays, are of cult classics and foreign flicks that can be tough to get long after first publishing.I want to meet the person 10 years down the line who will still have physical copies of a movie collection.
At this point, its still amazes me how many people collect movies. We were too broke when i was growing up to even afford a VCR-we all knew that person who had like 40 VHS tapes. Then 200 DVDs, and now Blu-rays.
