The Wrong Side of the Tracks

Goodbye Uncle Tom (Italian: Addio Zio Tom) is a 1971 Italian mondo film documentary film co-directed and co-written by Gualtiero Jacopetti and Franco Prosperi with music by Riz Ortolani. The film is based on true events in which the filmmakers explore antebellum America, using period documents to examine in graphic detail the racist ideology and degrading conditions faced by Africans under slavery. Because of the use of published documents and materials from the public record, the film labels itself a documentary, though all footage is re-staged using actors. —Wikipedia

t-dot till they bury me
In Roger Ebert's 1972 review of the shorter American version, he asserts that the directors have "Made the most disgusting, contemptuous insult to decency ever to masquerade as a documentary."[4] He goes on to call the film "cruel exploitation", believing that the directors degraded the poor Haitian extras playing slaves by having them enact the extremely dehumanizing situations the film depicts virtually as they occurred. Gene Siskel put the film second (behind The Last House on the Left) on his year-end list of what he called the sickest films he saw in 1972.[5] Critic Pauline Kael called the film "the most specific and rabid incitement to race war".[6]

Sounds like a mandatory watch for the "get over it" crowd :mjpls:

Show them how disgusting the shyt that happened to our ancestors (ADOS, FBA only) was and why some form of reparations are needed.
Not nitpicking but slavery happened all over the Caribbean and South America as well. More of our ancestors were sent there than to the States.

I had no idea this movie’s theme song is “Oh My Love”. I thought it was some kind weird dub but no, it was in fact originally made for this film. One the most beautiful and chilling songs. And now I’m not sure how to feel about it.

I'm from Charleston SC, the home of the biggest slaveport in the USA. Only 1/7 slaves came to North America. Most went to central and south America (Tru Story).

But we live in America, so we want our reparations here. Cacs claim we need to get over it, but don't say shyt about the Jewbrehs making sure no one forgets about the Holocaust and rightfully so. But even they got reparations and didn't even live here and helped build this country like black slaves and their descendants did.

Ah ok, I misinterpreted. You’re just saying your focus/concern is here. And I love Charleston, lived there for a little bit myself.
