Wasn’t expecting anything new from them

They had a good run 30 years back but at this point nobody really cares
No disrespect to you or your opinion, bro (because my point which follows isn't about you specifically, but moreso that ideology).

But this is exactly what Xzibit was talking about when he said there's ageism in hip-hop.

As a culture, it's sad that older artists can't be legacy artists the way rock groups are...groups like Heart and the Rolling Stones haven't had hits in several decades but that doesn't stop them from touring, or from those tours being successful...because those fans are loyal diehards who don’t put time constraints on the shelf lives of their favorite artists. That's not the case in hip-hop. The idea that "it's a young man's game" is fine, but then you can't expect artists to make a career out of it, then. And that puts a culturally-imposed time limit on artists.

You see an "old school concert" being advertised, and the majority of responses are [*insert Larry Holmes emoji*]. That significantly stagnates the culture.

It's like younger fans don't think they'll ever get older or something. :pachaha: One day all these "Barbs" who are fans of Nicki Minaj are gonna have their own kids and be in their 40s and IF they're still fans they're gonna want to see her in concert....so them shytting on legacy acts NOW is basically idiotic.

Not to mention the cookie-cutter, microwavable nature of music today anyway. Like, will someone in their late teens or early 20s today REALLY be 45 one day and want to go to a Carti or Gunna show? No slight to either of those cats, but... :manny:

Hopefully, this is like Too Shorts “retirement”. :heh:

They are doing a show during East Point Wind down on 5/28 if you happen to be in the city.

Cee-Lo will be ok either way….

He still has Gnarls Barkley to fall back on and plus he’s the southern Nate Dogg which means that he’s always in demand to sing a hook.

Gipp will possibly be on The Art Of Dialogue giving out interviews. Hopefully, we’ll get a another Ali & Gipp CD too.

Big Rube always be having those introspective intros and outros so he’ll be in demand too

T-Mo and Khujo Goodie will be on call.

Goodie Mob ain’t been the same since One Monkey Don’t Stop No Show

Fam, Goodie Mobb dropped 2 good albums and the last one was 2001? 25 years without a hot album.

I agree with Xzibit on ageism but Goodie Mobb isn't Hiphop's Rolling Stones or Heart. They will always be know as Ceelo's old group. Outside of die hard fans nobody is clamoring for new music from Gipp, T-mo or Khujo.
