Copped the base model for the wife. She can't stand a big phone and is currently rocking a Moto G thats almost 2 years old. At least now she can stop reaching for my phone (one+3) when its time to take pictures.

She can take all the 4K pics and videos that she wants and can finally leave my phone alone.

Nexus is over been replaced with Pixel.

Its really made by HTC but Google are basically tryna have their own iPhone.

They had more control over this phone than previous devices, hence the whole #madebygoogle stuff.
They're tryna be bold, but I think it might just backfire at that pricing.

Nexus program is over. It was lower prices but mid range internals. Google moving on to the premium tier with the Pixel line.

Phone is still unlocked, just buy it at BestBuy or Google store.

As lifelong () Android user that switched to iPhone last year, to the Nexus program Google kept upping that price by $100 every year until they got to the premium level.

The phone looks decent but there's nothing I see that is going to pull someone in over the Galaxy or Note series at the same prices. I wonder how much reaction these devices need to have to make this a worthwhile endeavor.

It will be interesting to see if this is the jolt in the arm Google needs to keep innovating Android.
