i'll buy 42-44 inches vert for jordan in his athletic prime pre 89 brehs. :ehh: if jordan has 48 inches we would've seen his head above the rim at least few times in his career. that never happened. highest he ever jumped his head was right at the rim and that's 42 inches vert.

and jordan said himself he never really practiced vert or anything.

I agree with you, I don't think he had a 48 vert. Though he did get above the rim, here his back is faced to the basket and he's pretty damn close:

Dennis Green said Randy Moss ran a 4.15. I believe that shyt. I think Moss was faster than both Deion and Bo
Only sub 4.2 I could be inclined to believe. First and foremost because of his height. He can slide out like Usain with that height. And secondly because of the tape. No one else has had film speed like Randy

Best guess is Bo was between a 4.25 and a 4.40....probably 4.3-ish.

That plus his size made him a freak. Deion and Moss were probably a half step faster. Dudes like that are different from other brehs because they run 4.2 or 4.3 in pads. Most of the brehs you see at the combine nowadays are 4.3 on the track but 4.45 or 4.5 on the field.

Tyreek Hill has that crazy speed too. Some brehs just pull away no matter what.

:what: what difference does it make if it isn't in combine history. NBA MEASURES RUNNING VERTICALS
NFL MEASURES STANDING VERTICALS
when they say 48 they meaning running vert
Chris Conley has the highest STANDING VERT at 45 inches
the highest the nba was set by hamidou diallo at 44.5 inches
so conley more than likely has 48+ running vert himself and yet there is no way mj had it?

I think Gerald Sensabaugh had a 46 inch vert at the NFL combine. Breh played for my Cowboys and that shyt had ZERO effect on his coverage skills :russ:

DJ Dozier another two-sport player. Nowhere near Bo, Prime, or even Brian Jordan though.

Hell realistically, most football players if they gave a damn and had been playing since youth, could be two sport athletes.

It was never a big deal to me. An ATHLETE will be good at just about every sport or physical activity. I'm sure in the past many athletes grew up playing football, basketball, baseball, and track. Those were the activities we played ALL DAY, EVERY DAY, in the hood from age 7 up.

With the exception of baseball (due to it not being as accessible and falling out our rotation) I would expect a real athlete to perform each of those others at a high level.

Mike is in a whole different galaxy as a player, but James White doesn't have a 48 inch vert, and he's of similar height, and dude was doing windmills and eastbay funk dunks from the FT line. If THAT dude don't have a 48, then NOBODY does.

Flight white and he would be air running too, crazy

When he got that hip injury in 91. It was stress related (over exertion i mean). Sports medicine isn't where it is now. Basically he ran to the point where the muscle separated from the bone. Trainers told him rest it. But he chose to keep on going. That type of injury is treatable now with surgery but it wasn't back then.
And he rehabbed his hip by shooting a bow and arrow with his feet :damn:
