We captured pedos before this violation of privacy shyt.... these stories come out to justify it.
Catching pedos was never an issue.... lol, they usually make a mistake(like fujcing kids, etc)....

This issue was sentencing.... there is zero immediate death for molesting a kid under age 14. There are tougher jail punishments for drugs than most sex crimes. Obviously we should be killing sex offenders who admit it or are caught w o a doubt on the spot

It's every company though, correct? I mean the DOJ treats all of these companies like sock puppets and they're all in bed together, subsidies, technology, and the whole 9.

There's literally no protection for consumers in this country. It's sick.

like there is better protection in other parts of the world? give me a break. if you use their services you are subject to their rules. if you don't like it don't use the internet, friend

Europe has a higher degree of privacy and "rights".

You think google isn't checking people's emails in europe too. That this is just a US thing?

They've been getting sued and sanctioned across Europe for the last several years.

In America? Nadda.

There are no real repercussions for googles nonsense. They own the internet. What's a few million in fines to a company like that. I'm not condoning it, but I hardly feel bad because at the end of the day they can do whatever they want with their products. we aren't forced to use them

Countries in europe take that child porn serious too I wouldn't be surprised if they had googles help

The fines also come with forced changes in policy for companies like google etc.

We're discussing internet protection for consumers.

Obviously child predators need to rot in hell.

I'm all for privacy but I think people take it a little too personal here in the states. If a bot sweeps through peoples emails in search of illegal images I'm not sure I really have a problem with it. I just fail to see the harm. If people don't want to be subject to googles terms, they don't have to use their services.

There are federal agents that bust pedophiles and probably have pics and vids of these sick crimes backed up on their hard drives at home.

A former Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of distributing child pornography on the Internet, authorities said.

Lorne Reed, 32, was taken into custody at his Santa Fe Springs home after detectives served a search warrant there in connection with an investigation that began in April, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Reed, who was at home with his two children, was arrested without incident, the LAPD said. The children were taken into protective custody by Department of Children and Family Services.

No further details into the investigation were released.

Reed was booked on suspicion of distributing child pornography and held on 20,000 bail. It was unclear if he had an attorney.

They use algorithms/machine learning/image recognition. They probably have a database of bad images that they flag as well. No way someone is looking through billions of emails.

yea, learning about machine learning right now. it would be infeasible for a human being to manually sift through billions of emails. it's an imperfect system, but i doubt the error rate is higher than a human being's.

thing with a neural net is you have to 'train' it using valid datasets. for that kind of scalpel sharp accuracy Google must've ran that CP-BOT through massive amounts of child porn. :scusthov:
