my issue is that women are being supported while another group that is clearly suffering is not. It is now PC to help women (nothing wrong with that) but when will it be PC to help Black Boys?

Black boys do get a lot of help from a dedicated program perspective, more so than Black girls actually. What I think is turning some Black boys away from even further academic achievement are culturally imposed, not a lack of programs to help them.

What's wrong with encouraging 50% of the population to go into Computer Science where they are very under represented?

I don't understand some of you weirdos.

Why does everything have to be a pie chart?

where's the 'get girls into mining or logging' movement? it's funny how every area that women are underrepresented in, they have some movement rubbing their back and pushing them into it, but it's not true vice versa. Why aren't boys getting preferential treatment now that women are significantly outpacing them into enrolling in universities and getting degrees?

Why aren't there more male gynecologists. It really bothers me.

You are comparing gynecology to computer science? I see the point you are trying to make, but there is a difference between men choosing not to go into a specific field due to a variety of societal reasons and women historically being discriminated against

How are women being discriminated against from pursuing computer science?

computer science is a very sexy field. Every week a new company is being purchased for billions, and youre not going to get that in the fossil fuel sector.

This isn't true.. most programs for black youth are designed for both boys and girls.... some are only for black girls, a few are for black boys...

Nothing is turning black boys away from academic achievement at a higher rate than women besides the factors that have existed for decades.

THE ONLY difference now is that black women and their misguided prospective (see post above)
are giving c00ns, black women, and cac more reason to not recognize those pre-existing factors. And culturally , the only thing that affects black men differently is the American workplace culture- workplace perception and the overall acceptance of black women over black men.... that black women (see post above) seem to be oblivious to. smh.

I hire black women all the damn time,, just cuz they are black.... but when they open their know it all mouths and say shyt like this ^^ I always regret the discussion.

Computer programming is about ~90% male. If the goal is a higher representation of females in the computer programming world, what's wrong with incentivizing getting more girls into programming :dwillhuh:

Not to mention the Khan Academy is a private institution... the almighty private sector.... how dare you question the almighty
