I already told you I researched becoming a Commercial pilot before asking questions, so I'm not sure what you're getting at.


So you don't believe in researching answers to basic questions before asking a professional?

I'll give you a great example about me.

I always wanted to be a commercial pilot. Instead of going up to a pilot and asking him "How do I become a pilot?' I got online and found the answers.

1. Get Bachelor's degree
2. Look up flight schooling costs ($50k to $100k)
3. Choose Mom & pop flight school or Big university
4. Pass medical exam
5. Get private pilot's license
6. Get instrument rating
7. Work as CFI
8. Get 1500 flight hours
9. Apply for regional jobs
10. Fly regional and gain more experience
11. Apply for major airline


Only until I realize there's something I truly don't understand is when I'll ask a Pilot for advice.

Professional is a broad general term. I'm a newly 6 figure professional with my recent and I wouldn't a$$hole if anyone asked me any questions about it even if it could easily be researched. The question was asked to posters on this site where simple researched answers get asked on a daily basis, but we do it to be informed and to create dialouge.

Going by your logic, a lot of questions on this site wouldn't exist. The only person being an a$$hole about the question being asked is you. Hell, we have lawyers and doctors on this site that don't act like when people ask those type of questions and you aren't at that level, but are doing so

Why do you keep calling me an a$$hole? Telling someone to do research before asking basic questions is not being an a$$hole. Everything we do requires research.

I do basic research on everything I have an interest in before asking questions. Commercial pilot, selling stock options, ecommerce, building a PC, musical instruments, etc.


The people who don't do basic research are the ones who get scammed, conned, and sold influencer books.

Asking questions before doing basic research simply shows you aren't interested. That's what it boils down to. Why would I ask you a basic question when I can find it on my own in seconds? People who have a genuine interest find the answers on their own first, then ask questions on things they don't understand.

And how many people do you think take the advice given and put it use? If you created a detailed thread on how to make $150k/yr on drop shipping, how many posters you think will follow? And we both know those type of threads don't get any traction, while a bedwench thread blows up to 20 pages easy.

I mean you can happily answer basic questions 24/7 to your heart's content, but from what I've been told, the quickest way to separate the bullshytters is to see who did their own basic research.
