Yes, I use the term "free" loosely, everything comes out the taxes but there's a reason we are in debt, because many of these services cannot be paid by the tax income we have...so essentially these are free for us.

I would think that's because of the reckless spending, tax cuts, and wars we keep committing to. Moreso than the services.

Bingo - we agree

at the end of the day, i don't see the value free college will have on the society as a whole. The bachelor's degree in 10 years of that will be the equivalent of a HS diploma is today and the socialist will begin clamoring how it's not enough, we want free JDs, PHDs, and MBA studies. Quality of education begins to drop because you're paying shytty professors who don't care because everyone is being paid the same. I mean the downfall of America's education system is already starting, so let's continue it, instead of addressing the real problem.

I think people are looking around the world and seeing France and Spain and for some reason aren't piecing together what's going on over there and why.

Well I don't know Bhutan is as terrible as those two countries were. Plus, it seems Bhutan is already carbon negative. Well at least we can thank Mao for giving Bhutan a great idea. Communism isn't all bad I guess...
