The GOP needs guys like Rubio to begin taking leadership roles in the party to remove the perception (as true as it is) that the Republican Party is a party of angry out of touch old white guys.

Rubio's views are too far to the right though. He is personable, but they need people who are both personable and closer to where the center of the country is.

True but what they need is to create the perception that the party is more inclusive and less intolerant than it currently is. A leadership that represents the oft bandied about "big tent" philosophy of people like Rubio, Christie, Jindal, that Mia Love chick, and even Paul Ryan would go a long way to changing the perception of the Party.
And let's be real, most of politics is just putting together a good marketing campaign that makes you appealing to a wide swath of potential voters.

Yeah, they need to have a comprehensive rebranding of the party from the people who are seen as the face of the GOP all the way down to a shift from certain political stances that are not feasible nationally.
