I moved out to south tx and rocks are flying all the time on the highway. People said it’s common and you mine as well budget for it.
I heard it’s 75 for one hole:leon:

People I work with said you mine as well not patch up the holes bc it happens so often here, it’ll be cheaper to get a whole new windshield.

I got 2 holes, and the second one spread to a big ass crack in my shii :snoop:Now I gotta make a move soon.

Is it too late to get it fixed or am I gonna have to get a whole new windshield?

Ask insurance if there’s a rate increase for the claim, but if it’s a domestic car you shouldn’t have to pay more than $100 installed.

Yea, you'll probably have to get it replaced. Your state isn't a "zero deductible state" state when it comes to glass so you probably going to end up paying something. Depending on your deductible amount it may not even be worth filing a claim.

Yeah you waited too long to get it fixed. Once the crack is longer than a dollar bill, you have to get it replaced.

I just had this done to my SUV last week. I was riding down the interstate and a big truck kicked up a rock. It hit hard as hell but I couldn't see where the chip was. Turns out it hit right at the top corner of the windshield on the driver's side. If it would have been off by an inch it would have missed my whole car. Buy the time I saw it, the crack had spread into the visible area of the windshield.

My insurance would have covered it as a zero fault claim but the detectable was more than the windshield cost. I wound up paying $290 out of pocket.
