Got a dilemma, brehs.. (military/contractor type)

I did a few months in overseas in Afghanistan as a contractor but i was making 200k+ with hazard and hardship pay included so in my opinion 120k for Afghanistan aint shyt, i feel like you can pull that in DC with certs easy. If those are your 2 options I'd do the island

I had a cousin that did the civilian contract thing when he got out and he BANKED.

He did it for a few years and then bought a house in Tampa.

Went back a few more for a last tour came back to the states and bout a custom BMW (straight cash homey) and living well off that money to this day. He been in school and living life with his family

It's more like, you putting them in a bad predicament and going back on the contract you sign and your word. And wasting their time.. But they're rich they can afford it

It's burning a bridge with the company but it is just business. Funny thing is I've done that before with this SAME company but it was years ago. They hit me up about the job so

New dilemma brehs

I took the island job as we know, but I got a car here that I’m wondering if I should keep here (my aunt says she’ll pay for it and use it but its in my name).

and I got approved for a loan and a car at another place on island for another car (better than my current car now) but I will have to be there to sign for it. I was gonna have my homie just go get it but they want to see me in person for some reason

I don’t fly in until that evening and the dealership will be closed. I would start working the next day


My girl thinks I should just ship my current car but that will cost like 3g’s and ill have to rent a car for like a month or some shyt... I’m not looking forward to that.

Just looking for some advice. I really like the newish car but don’t want to have my aunt under my shyt for like 2 years. I trust her but gotdamn thats a long time. I also don’t want to have 2 car notes (that i could pay honestly) especially if im not using one.

But shipping will just cost a lot now and will take forever. Plus renting a car every week to go to work for however long isn’t really wise to me... seems expensive

Its going aight, just got off a 10 hour shift, got another one later on..

I took the island job


Only thing I can say is that I barely go out and socialize or got friends to socialize with... the job is w/e but might look into beefing up my resume soon because there’s another position that im like 50% qualified for that just opened up but it wouldn’t hurt to attempt.

I’m also trying to switch to a different job title hopefully by the end of the year. If i grab these 2 certs from school I’ll be more than qualified (I’m qualified now just no spots opened... plus i like my schedule but I don’t at the same time. I like the 4 days on and 3 days off and working at night but the time i go in doesn’t give me an official 3 days off).

Only thing pissing me off at the moment is school.

Also, i got a new car. My girl is going to sell her car and we’re just gonna have one car when we move in together.

I only use it for work and she uses it when I’m not at work. I usually Lyft if i go anywhere most of the other times. I work at night and she usually does errands in the day so it works out... for now.
