Got a DUI...

My condolences, you're about to come out of some serious cash. I'm talking several thousand, minimum.

I almost got a DUI last year for refusing to take the breathalyzer test, but I said fukk it and took it...and was below the limit.


Not that I thought I was drunk (I wasn't...I'd had like two beers several hours ago) but I was so nervous I wasn't sure what I should do. Never putting myself in that situation again. And fukk them cops.

Same thing happened to me a couple of years ago. Drove home after about 6 beers and a cop pulled me over with the breathalyzer already in hand. I thought i was done , no sobriety test, cop just told me to blow in the breathalyzer. I was like fukk it. He looked at me disappointed AF. I blew a .04. Pig still told me "I don't think you can drive home, you were swerving while merging" ... Nah i'm fine officer, do you want me to do a field sobriety test? He gave me a reckless driving ticket and let me leave. Went to court with my clean DMV records and told him about i have a job, finished college. He dismissed the charge, but fukk them cops... O/P if this is your second time make sure you ready to spend 2-4 g's and might get your license suspended for a awhile.

is there any chance though my license gets suspended for 1 year? or is 6 months more likely?

I've heard 6 months at the least...depends on how the case goes but you are definitely looking at a 6 month. What state you in?

I only lost my license for 1 month and I even got busted with pot on me. The state of PA has a 2nd chance program called ARD, where it even gets expunged from your criminal record. I was .01 over and passed all the sobriety tests, even told him the distance exactly to my house. Breathalyzer got me.

I think it cost me around 1500 total, maybe less though. Luckily I was still under my parents car insurance at the time so that helped me save money.

It's a definite pain in the ass but getting through it will give you character and perspective. Sorry though.

Biggest thing is making sure it never happens again.

I stopped driving drunk after i got pulled over and the cop let me go. I was trashed.

The same shyt happened to me I was drunk got pulled officer was like "you ok man you're driving like you're drunk" I said nah man I'm good just tired. I had a cup of liq in my hand while I was driving nikka just said "you be safe" and let me go. I think he wanted me to kill myself and my cousin.

Yea my cop said the same thing to me. Hes like theres a chrismtas party in the area and people have been driving drunk. Im like no officer, ive been up all night fixing servers *i was in a SUIT*

Dude made me put my head out the window and all that following lights. Hes like just move your eyes not your neck. I was like im sorry i cant do this. I feel retarded. Then he asked me one more time if id been drinking and i said no and he said *well you're only 5 miles from home so drive safe* I was like and spit out the 8 pieces of gum i threw in my mouth when i saw those lights.

i got mine in cali, and ill keep it 100. try to go to the driving classes and aa meetings before your court date, that way you can get your license back faster. here its a minimum suspension of 3 months. total fees that i paid amounted to 3,000 so yeah its expensive. there's ways around getting cheaper insurance, so dont listen to all that about 10000 in insurance fees down the road as long as your record is clean.

yeah, my lawyer told me that at the court the judge will order me to the evaluation but we will get it done with before the court date, so hopefully that makes me get 6 months
