Whats a reliable Luxury vehicle besides Lexus ?
I was think about getting the same car as you or a lexus gs 350..how many miles did you have on your car when you bought it?A lot of so-so suggestions in this thread so far

got my g35 a year ago for 3500 engine and transmission is good so far she burns a bit of oil but no check lights or repairs over 300$ yet
easy to mod too

2005–2011 Lexus GS has held up well. Plus it's a Toyota engine and parts. But you might need another 3-4k to get into one.
150xxx really matters on the previous maintenance though.
anything asian (infiniti/lexus/acura) is reliable
anything german will fukk up your wallet

unless you buying a TL with 150K + miles on it, you not going to find a used one(this model and newer) for 6K@The_Computer
Ignore all the posters that said to put your cash toward a down payment. You're in college still, you should be staking bread - not going in debt. Get a reliable older model car. You can find plenty at the 6k range. Expect higher mileage on the vehicles, just have them checked by a reputable mechanic first.
Go for something like this, buy off a independent seller - not a dealer.
Just look online in your area. Dont think so much about a specific car - just type in what your willing to pay and scroll through post. That will give you an idea of what you can afford and still look cool in

Ive had it for about a year and other than an oil change. coolant change and transmission change for maintance. I changed one tire, I fixed a coolant hose and fixed a caliper all less than 1k in repairs
The miles was at 150k when i bought it, they typically last to 200k to 300k depending on your maintenance

I found an 08 G35x with 97k mileage from an independent car seller for $8500. He got the car from Carmax at an auction on Monday. I was wondering what your opinion is on the up keep compared to the 06 jawn that you have. I'm a college kid too, so im watching my pockets. I was thinking an 08 BMW 328xi initially (107k mileage at the dealership for $8000) but ehh I'm not too much of a fan of the space and plus possible maintenance issues in the future.

This man knowsss, I got a Mazda from 2005, I have had it for 3 years,I have only spent $300 on maintanance & tires. Everything works well, females love everything about it,the nice sound system, AC for summer time and heater especially after the nightclub when its cold.
