Shiiit I hated Skylar too. But I realized that hate was irrational. She really did nothing wrong other than fukk ted and I understand why she did that. Walt had plenty of times to walk away from the drug game and leave his family with plenty of money to live off of.

Nah, she is the type of white woman Bill Burr spoke about.

She had no problem using Walter's clout into bullying someone to sell their property at a loss.

Portraying virtue whilst profiting from amoral acts.
I’m not saying she was virtuous, but she didn’t agree to that life. Just cuz she played the cards she was dealt that doesn’t negate the fact she had no say in whether her family got in that business.

Y’all focus on the fact that she liked some aspects of the life (money, clout), but that’s unfair. We all would enjoy the good parts of the life, but most of us wouldn’t engage in that life due to the risks. She was forced to engage in the life, since Walt made that risk/reward determination without her. If she has to deal with negative aspects it’s completely understandable that she would take advantage of some of the positive aspects.

Once he got in, there was no exit. He couldn’t leave. It was a wrap.

He did it because he thought he was dying and didn’t want to leave his family penniless. It was a selfless act of love, albeit one with dangerous risks.
Not really, he did it because he thought he was dying and wanted to experience some thrills his HS teaching job couldnt fill. The money helped with the bills but it was really all about him. He admits it at the end.

You gonna address the point or give English lessons? :unimpressed:
I did address it. You said he was driven by ego, which is conceit, a self-absorbed vision of self. I said he was motivated by pride, knowing he was dying and feeling as if he had no choice but to avail himself of his talents as a chemist to produce the purest rock that market’s seen and make enough money to leave his family.

No, this is the free pass that is always afforded to white people.

Her brother in law was a police officer. She could have left Walter. She could have reported him to the police.

Instead she enjoyed the fruits of his labour and even used his clout to indulge in pettiness.

Why is it wrong to focus on this. Should we give white women a pass for enjoying the perks that come with white supremacy too :stopitslime:

It amazes me how people just refuse to expect accountability from white women.

The point I’m asking you to address is the fact that Walt could’ve left his family with money without engaging in a dangerous, shameful, illegal activity. Why he did it is irrelevant. You can’t claim he was doing all this for his family’s well being when he had an out that was much safer.

I get what you're saying but don't forget she tried to leave Walt and he guilt tripped her into staying with him. Walt was a manipulative b*stard. Walt is really the one we should be angry at in the show. He fukked everything up. But yet we all rooted for him :yeshrug:

not giving her a free pass. She could get arrested right with Walt. I’m only addressing those who complain she wasn’t “down” enough for Walt.
