At some point you have to give her credit. On one hand people talk about them being some evil masterminds who ruin men lives and play 3-D chess in the media then in the next breath act like they are airhead dummies who sex taped their way into a billon dollar empire

I even think the privileged thing is a bit overstated. They had connections i guess since Kim was Paris Hilton weed carrier but in the early seasons of the kardasian show you could see how normal they really were at that point. they lived in 1 bedroom apts with that cheap ass hood furniture and in the ep i saw it was a huge deal that Kim got a bentley with the sex tape money. People act like they were raised by billionaires

They grew up with other wealthy Hollywood kids. Kim dated one of Michael Jackson’s nephews in high school. They may not have been as wealthy as a lot of families they were around, but you have to have some level of wealth to even get in those circles.

I do agree that coming from money is not enough to accomplish what she has. It really is a mix of money, connections, looks, being white, getting lucky, and hard work. Her being an exotic looking white woman who dates black men allowed her to tap into different audiences.

it's very very a different thing though, someone doing this from relative poverty, and someone like her, and also, the idea that once you are ON, your handlers and team/advisors are doing A LOT of the heavier lifting and you are delegating so much, she has private equity money, top fashion advisors, top finance people, top trend forecasters, marketing teams all behind her, she's the face and the brand, and it's not like the Emperor Has No Clothes. but it's not a DIY business either.

as for her upbringing and the season of the Kardashians, they may have lived there, but they probably had those just for the show. They grew up extremely privileged, her Dad was a high highly paid attorney. They grew up in the most elite circles of Los Angeles royalty.

Also, the degree to which you can fail, when you are Kim's status, is huge, she can lose 20/30 m's on a deal, and just keep moving.
