Got into a fight for the first time in 8 years on Friday...

A fight is good every now and again. Makes you feel alive. But I second what some of these other folks are saying, dont run up on anybody, especially a drunk dude.

I didn't really run up per say.. I just confronted someone who was talking hella shyt in my presence.. Just because someone is drunk doesn't mean I'm going to sit by and be disrespected. When I confronted him that let him know what time it was, he could a said OK and kept his mouth shut.. Instead he made it a physical situation.. No telling what he would have done if he could have beat me up....

I wasn't mad.. I was just standing up for myself.. After I 2 pieced him he kept coming at me... I hit him in self defense, I didn't really have an option. And when I approached him I was hella civil, wasn't a rah rah thing at all.

So I'm chilling sober as a nun, and this drunk guy approaches me and 2 of my boys I'm sitting with.. I could tell he was drunk and tried to keep it cordial with dude.

I'm always the preppy guy in the crew with a collared shirt, so maybe that's why he thought he could talk shyt I'm not sure.. After about 2 minutes of his ass throwing subliminal shots I get up and walk over to him...

He's sitting down at this point. I walk over and say "your not just going to keep talking shyt about me like it's cool"

I'm expecting more of an apology honestly, but dude just flashes on me. Puts his hands to my face like Jason Varitek did Arod like screaming "I'm going to kill you"

He then tries a @Mowgli move and starts to rake my eyes I grapple with dude for about 90 seconds, before I finally push him off me..

We finally square up, and I catch him with a left jab, over hand right combo.. He's stunned like a mfer so I grab him by the collar and lead him down to the ground.. As I'm on top of him I see the fear in his heart and he starts to apologize. I let him get back up, sure enough this dude spits at me, and throws a Gatorade bottle at my head...

I could have seriously hurt this guy, but I just kept back pedaling because I had already dotted his eye up ( just one punch had swollen and cut his eye)

First fight I had been in since way back brehs, first time someone had put hands on my face though.

i doubt dat a drunk talkin shyt would affect ur life in any shape or form. u wouldnt lose any respect at work or in ur personal life.

jus let him cook and ignore it. ur too grown to let a strangers simple words get to u. rly the only times i would give a pass to someone for losin it is when family members especially kids r brought up, but then again if u hav kids u better try ur darnest not to get into a physical confrontation as u got too much at stake.

Nah breh, you said you confronted him for talking shyt. You might have won but you still take the L for entering an easily avoidable fight. Whole Lotta people in the prisons and morgue all over pride. When you're in any social setting where alcohol is involved, drunks talking shyt is pretty much inevitable, and who cares cuz a lot of em wouldn't even look you in the eye in any other setting. It's called liquid courage
